Wired LG detectors are powered via a 21' umbilical cable that gets routed along the wall to a power supply and hidden during installation. The power supply box connects the detector to the PC and transmits patient images to the screen in mere seconds (1-3 sec).

Wired detectors are utilized in many applications. Chiropractors and Veterinarians prefer them because nearly all of their respective exams are performed at the wall-stand or the tabletop. These installations are considered "semi-permanent", meaning the detector can be secured in to the cassette-tray for the life of the product.

Many times, 17x17" Wired DR systems are purchased as part of a dual-detector system along with a 14x17" or 17x17" wireless detector. Both detectors can be run by the same computer in the environment and this configuration offers the most flexibility for exams in high volume environments. The wireless detector resides in the table tray and the wired detector resides in the wall-stand.

 

Many hospitals and busy Orthopedic practices prefer dual panel systems to make exams more efficient. LG's low cost of ownership makes a dual panel installation more cost-effective than ever before.

Choosing a wired detector option eliminates the risks associated with handling the detector multiple times per day to change batteries. Wired DR systems also have a more favorable cost-of-ownership due to their lower entry price and the absence of expensive batteries.

LG 17x17" Wired Cesium (CsI) detectors are cassette-sized to fit in your standard tray and include an Interface Power Unit with 21' (7m) image transmission cable and a 25' Cat-6 Ethernet cable. Plenty of cabling to position all components where you want them in your X-ray room. All systems include a Lenovo business-grade workstation with a 24" touch screen LCD.
